Storytelling is the heart of community. It’s an expression of where we’ve come from, who we are, and who we aspire to be. Together in partnership with our community the Collective Magazines have been telling stories to connect readers with the essence of who we are. We link long time residents with new arrivals; and visitors with residents, to share the complex layers of place that make our community so dynamic, complex and beautiful.
Until now, the Collective Magazines has relied solely on community advertising partners to sustain our project, but we are evolving our model and inviting the broader community to support our work. We have initiated our NEW subscription program, with a twist! Not only will you receive a copy of the CV Collective (CVC) and/or the Strathcona Collective (SC) in the mail for a year, you will help create the story that is Vancouver Island.
Collective Magazine Subscribers support the development of unique content for the magazine and at the same time directly invest in community projects that reflect the heart of the Collective. 50% of every subscription will be directed to a “Collective Fund” which will directly support grassroots community projects under the banners of:

Play (Recreation & Adventure)
Explore (Land & Water Conservation)
